Lesson 26: Capitals with Shift

Hold Shift with the little finger of the other hand to type capital letters.

Capital letters use the Shift key, and the rule is simple: use the Shift key on the opposite side from the letter. For a capital F, hold the right Shift with your right little finger; for a capital J, hold the left Shift.

Hold Shift down first, press the letter, then let go of both keys. Avoid Caps Lock for capitals, because you would have to switch it off again before the next lowercase letter, which slows you down.

New keys in this lesson: Shift.

Goal: type at 13 words per minute with at least 90% accuracy to master the lesson and earn up to three stars.
