Lesson 9: E and I

Reach up from D and K to type E and I, then come straight back home.

E is the most common letter in English, so this lesson makes a big difference. Reach up and slightly left with your left middle finger to press E, and reach up with your right middle finger to press I.

After each reach, bring the finger straight back to D or K. Returning home every time is what keeps typing accurate when the words get longer, and it is the habit that separates touch typists from hunt-and-peck typists.
