Lesson 29: Writing dialogue

Type what people say, with quotation marks in the right places.

Stories come alive when characters speak. In dialogue, the spoken words go inside quotation marks, and a comma or question mark usually comes just before the closing mark.

This lesson practises sentences such as Mia said, "Let's go!" so children learn both the typing and the punctuation rules they need for creative writing at school.

Goal: type at 14 words per minute with at least 90% accuracy to master the lesson and earn up to three stars.
